Look at that greasy mug!
WHAT HE SAYS ABOUT PAUL MARTIN: “He shows the most fiscal sense, and he has a strong commitment to debt reduction and social programs.”
Hmmn. Fiscal sense. Wasn’t this the same man who was finance minister during the sponsorship scandal, gun registry, human resources loss of money and the “wise” investment in repairing our Sea King helicopters and buying antique British submarines? It’s true that different departments have their own budgets, but it is Paul Martin that ultimately gave the green light to those budgets.
The buck stops here. Cast a protest vote to show that corruption and excessive waste are unacceptable. Go Tampa! Crush Calgary!

Hoser! You can’t blame Paul Martin for everything that went wrong in the Chretien era. The things you mentioned aren’t as bad they are reported. The HRDC “boondoggle” turned out to be $85 000 not a billion dollars. The actual amount of money missing in the sponsorship program is about 20 million, not 250 million.
What Paul Martin did do is lead Canada in to 7 straight balanced budgets, with a steady debt reduction agenda that has already eliminated 3 billion dollars in interest payments each year. Canada’s unemployment dropped 25%. He also reduced taxes significantly.
Frankly, I believe we have had some really good government from Paul Martin, and I’m not concerned that some departments misspent some money. No government is perfect and free from corruption and scandal. On the whole, who can disagree with the direction Canada has taken over the last few years?
