New Jersey Governor Chris Christie lays it on the line to a group of 200 mayors. His message is very similar to that of Canadian Finance minister Paul Martin in 1995 and Roy Romanow, premier of my home province in 1991.
It is time to face facts and make some tough decisions.

So, you got an advance copy of the Star Phoenix with the headline about the Potash tax rebate–we should all be so lucky!
Are the public servants in Sask/Canada having their incomes capped at rate of inflation? That includes everyone from the Prime Minister/Premier, through all the civil service, through all the education/health care/social service providers.
