Losing weight
About a month ago I weighed myself. 270 pounds. (Yes Canada went metric, but we still think in pounds for personal weight). At 27 years old I saw 30 on the horizon. I looked at 270 lbs and saw 300 on the horizon. I am 6′ 6″ (still think in feet too) so 270 lbs is still fairly reasonable. I can’t reverse the aging process, but I can reverse the weight gain process. So I started.
Week 1: 270 lbs
Week 2: 268 lbs
Week 3: 266 lbs
Slow and steady I guess. The goal is to lose about 1 pound a week until I hit 235. Am I on Atkins? No. I just removed some of the pop, french fries, and sweet snacks from my diet. I do a lot more walking or cycling each week. It’s working. When I’m up at the lake I’ll be doing lots of hiking so that should help as well.
Stunning fact: the highest calorie item at McDonalds is a Sausage and Egg McGriddle at 680 calories. Mmmmmmmm…..McGriddle.
