It's Time to Prepare for the Harvest

4th March 2000

About two weeks ago, I had two almost identical dreams. In the dreams I found
myself at the waters edge of either an enormous lake or an ocean (there were
no waves whatsoever) and saw many groups of people getting ready for some
fishing. There were boats of all sorts, shapes, sizes and colours and every one
had some form of net or nets, which also varied in the same way. As I
approached, I could see that some were machine driven. There were winches,
which let huge nets out and pulled them back to the boat. Some of these
winches were steam driven devices; almost ancient relics and some were
modern state of the art devices. Other boats had nets manipulated by ropes
and pulleys, which were deployed by hand. Others again were standing in their
boats and throwing cast nets.

The methods employed were equally diverse. There were boats with one
person only and others had a two-man crew. By standing in the stern, a cast
net was thrown out for a catch. Some boats let their nets down over the side.
Other larger boats with more crewmembers trawled in straight lines, dragging
their nets behind them. Others let their nets out behind and circled around the
fish before drawing the nets in. Even the nets differed extensively.

The whole scene indicated diversity and busy-ness, but it seemed to dwindle
and the fishermen became either almost inactive, or the hauls diminished.

As I drew closer and engaged in conversation with the people, I was invited to
join them and found myself going from boat to boat. The conversations became
serious… about the methods and efficiencies of each method of fishing and at
times almost got “heated” but in a very friendly way. They asked me to help
and as I went from boat to boat, showed each in turn how to let down their nets
and retrieve them. I saw myself there in the thick of it all, with my sleeves
rolled up and grabbing hold of the nets and assisting everyone in pulling them
aboard. It was hard work, and I could see that I was hot and sweaty from the
exertions but it was very enjoyable and excited, so also seemed easy.

The catches were immense. There were all sorts of fish and crabs and lobsters
and prawns and they were amazingly varied in all sorts of sizes, shapes and
colours. Not one unwanted fish such as sharks etc. were in the nets. As we
say here, not one rubbish fish was evident.

During these dreams, most of the people I saw were, to me, foreigners and
nearly everyone seemed dark skinned.

This evening as I was trying to go to sleep, the scene was refreshed in my
memory and I saw that the people were all races and colours and the Lord was
sharing with me that what I saw was not for me alone as I initially thought. The
words, “This was not just for you, this is for the church. The church must know
this”. As I stirred myself and went to my study, the Lord started saying to me
to “Tell the church to start getting ready for harvest”. The following is what was

“The church has laboured for too long, catching little harvests of souls here and
there. There have been times when many men and women have been swept
into the kingdom, but many have also slipped through the nets, or escaped
capture. As with the various boats and the fishermen, the church has
employed many means but has not yet hauled in the harvest of souls that is
being prepared for the catch. The time has come for the church to learn how to
catch fish. When that lesson has been learned, the hauls will be so vast and
so extensive, the usual means, principles and methods hitherto used will no
longer suffice.

Many people will be swept into the kingdom of God in supernatural means.
Supermarkets will see people fall to their knees as the Holy Spirit descends on
them. Football stadiums will feel the impact of the visitation and there will be
people here and people there who have been schooled by the Holy Ghost, to
haul in the nets. Busy office blocks and crowded elevators will be scenes of
one-on-one evangelism with an impact. Hotels will become meeting places
where strangers will embrace in prayer.

The time for catching and retaining fish, small and large is coming, but you,
the church, must learn how to let down your nets for a draft. Your old methods
will on longer work, neither will modernism “new methods”. When the church
begins to let down the nets on the right side of the boat, the Spirit of the Living
God will summon the haul for the catch. Learn. Learn”.

“Fishermen will stand along the shore; from En Gedi to En Eglaim there will be
places for spreading nets. The fish will be of many kinds–like the fish of the
Great Sea. But the swamps and marshes will not become fresh; they will be
left for salt.” (Ezek 47:10,11)

Vision of Christ Drawing people to Himself

(I experienced this on March 1st, 2000 / Wednesday.)

In my mind, I was in what appeared to be a conference room. There was a
large conference table in the middle of the room. It was so large, it filled
almost the whole room. Seated around the table were what I perceived to be
men of God. I saw priests, rabbis, etc. Each of them had stacks of paper and
books in front of them. A large Bible was in the middle of the table. The men
of God were discussing their interpretations of certain verses and passages of
scripture in the Bible. I stood and observed the men of God for a while. Then,
I noticed a door. I walked up to the door, opened it and went through it. I was
in a hallway. I walked down the hallway and came into a foyer. I realized I was
in a church. I saw people entering the doors of the church into the foyer. Each
person held a cup in one hand, and they all appeared weary and wounded.
The people began to congregate in the foyer.

They seemed confused and restless. Then, through the doors of the church
that these people had come through, we all heard soft, musical singing. We
couldn’t hear the words, but the voice sounded like soft tinkling. When we
heard the singing, we all began to smile softly. Almost everyone went back
through the doors. I followed them. There were some people who stayed
behind, and some of these people even tried to prevent the others from leaving.
They appeared to be warning the people who were leaving not to leave. As the
people walked through the doors, I followed them. Off in the distance, I saw a
hill. It was covered with lush green grass. There were a few trees on top of the
hill. I heard birds calling to each other. The sound of the singing was coming
from the top of the hill. I gazed around, and only then noticed that coming from
every direction were throngs of people. They were of every race and
nationality. They were dressed in their native costumes of their particular
country. They each had a cup in their hand.

Like the first group of people I had seen had appeared to have been wounded,
all the people in this great multitude also appeared to bear wounds in their
bodies. They were all beginning to smile, and to walk up the hill to where the
singing was coming from. I followed them. There, at the top of the hill, seated
on a large rock, was Christ. He was the One Who was singing. When the
people came up to where Christ was seated on the rock, they sat down at His
feet. Next to the Lord I noticed an old fashioned well. At the feet of the Lord,
was a loaf of bread. It appeared to be a loaf of French bread. When the
people sat down at the Lord’s feet, they began to hold up the cup they were
holding in their hand. The Lord got up, walked over to the well. There was a
bucket hanging from a rope over the mouth of the well. The Lord lowered the
bucket into the well, then pulled it back up. He took the bucket of water over
to the people and began to fill their empty cups with the water. The water
never stopped pouring from the bucket. The people drank, and drank, and
drank. When they seemed to have drank as much water as they desired, the
Lord took the bucket back over to the well, and secured it back to the rope. He
then returned to the large rock and stood in front of it. He held His hands out
over the crowd of people. His palms were facing outwards towards the crowd.

People in the crowd began to stand up one by one and come up to the Lord.
He would gently cup His hands around each person’s head for a little while.
Then, He would gently pat their chest over their heart. As the Lord did this, I
saw the wounds begin to immediately heal on each person. After this time of
touching the people, the Lord sat back down on the rock. The people were
once again seated at His feet. The Lord began to gently speak to the people.
After a time, the Lord spoke to the people and told them to go back to where
they had come from, and to take with them what they had just received. The
people began to stand up. They appeared healthy, whole and well nourished.
And, they were smiling. I could sense a tremendous peace within them. They
headed back down the hill and began to disperse at the bottom of the hill, and
headed back in the direction from where they had at first come from.

As I pondered what this could mean, I felt the Lord speak these words to me

“My people are weary, hungry and thirsty. They come into My house for
comfort and healing and nourishment. Many times, what they find instead are
their leaders discussing My word and interpreting My word. In the process, My
people go untouched and unfed. When I walked this earth as a man, the
people came to Me. They followed Me into the deserts. They followed Me up
onto the hill tops. They followed me to the water’s edge. They followed Me
through the streets of their cities. Even so will it be in this time. This is a
season where many of My children will follow Me into the streets of their cities.
They will follow Me up into the mountains. They will follow Me to the water.
They will come to Me weary, thirsty and wounded. And I will give them the
water of My word to satisfy their thirst. I will give them the comfort of My touch
, and they will be healed and restored. I will teach them and instruct them. At
My feet, they will have their needs met. At My feet, they will find what they
have been seeking and searching for. Some will not understand this. They will
perceive this as a desertion against organized and established churches.
They will seek to halt those who are following where the sound of My voice
leads them. They will reject these people when they leave, and they will not
accept them when they return. Surely, a great outpouring of My Spirit will
occur. But it will not occur as many believe it will occur. I will pour out My
spirit in the streets, by the sea side, on the mountain tops. I will pour out My
Spirit on whosoever will; without regard for denomination or nationality. Those
who hear My voice and respond to My voice, will be taught of Me. They will
closely examine My word, and I will show and reveal to them My will and they
will then know of the doctrine whether it is of men or whether it is My doctrine.
I will pour out My Spirit on those who are thirsty, and accept the water I give
unto them. It is because all lines of nationality and denomination will be
crossed when I pour out of My Spirit that many will be confused. Many believe
the outpouring of My Spirit will occur in a certain way. Just as the Jews and
the religious leaders of My day failed to recognize Me when I appeared
because they were not looking for Me, but for who they felt I would be; even so
will it be during the great outpouring of My Spirit. Many will not recognize or
receive it because it will go against how they feel it should occur. He who has
ears to hear, let him hear what My Spirit is saying unto My church.”
